WE ARE IN!

If you have been following LYB's FB, you probably have heard about the 

Creating With The Stars Event hosted by 

East Coast Creative!

Ashley and I are one of 12 contestants chosen to compete in a four week long event. 

Each blogger contestant is matched with a blogger star  to collaborate with.

Each week the teams submit one themed DIY project These projects are submitted anonymously.

Then, voters... that's you guys... vote for their favorite projects.

Each week 3 contestants are eliminated, yikes!  

LYB has been paired with Beth from 

Home Stories A to Z.

She is an amazing designer/ decorator and a fellow DIY addict like Ashley and I.

So you can imagine our excitement when we found out that not only do we get to compete, but we will be working with 

the fabulous Beth from Home Stories A to Z. Can it get any sweeter, I don't think so. 

Some of my favorite DIYs from Beth's site include...

This metallic nightstand.

 This amazing two-toned tall boys dresser... I love that she left the original stain on the faces of the drawers.  The stained "zebra" pattern is very common in older furniture and I love that these pieces bring history into the rooms that they enrich.

And of course my eyeballs popped out of their sockets when I saw this bedroom remake.  The vintage headboard and window shutters totally had me drooling.  The subtle color pallet is very alluring. The entire room invites you to RELAX.... and she didn't have to use giant stencils or wall letters that say "RELAX" to do it.
