30 Minute Burlap Table Runner

My sister had a super cute Christmas burlap table runner at her house over the holidays so I decided to recreate it this week. Obviously not for Christmas, but went with the tan, white, red theme. Valentine's maybe? :) It was probably the quickest and easiest project I've ever done... minus my 2 year old sitting on my lap wanting to help sew it together. Guess that's what happens when big sister is in preschool.

Supplies:

Burlap - however many colors you choose
Scissors
Rotary cutter - p.s. I swear one of these days I'm going to post specifically on the rotary cutter. I      can't believe how many sewers out there have never seen them. HOW ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING IT WITHOUT THEM!?! :)
Cutting mat
Sewing machine -unless you want this project to take all week.
Thread
Iron

How To:
1. Cut burlap strips however big you want your runner to be.
 2. Mess with your pieces until you like the color scheme.
 3. Sew your pieces together.
 4. Lay flat to iron, folding all seams down. I used Scotch Guard, it was much easier on such thick fabric. Turn over and iron the front also.
 5. Sew around outside of entire runner so your burlap doesn't completely unravel. Done.

Easy, huh? If I can do it with a toddler on my lap in 30 minutes, you should be just fine! :)
