HOW TO MAKE EASY RUFFLES IN 2 STEPS OR LESS

There are two ways I usually ruffle fabrics because both are SUPER easy and SUPER fast.

Method 1:
This works if you don't need absolutely perfect ruffles.

1. Simply start sewing and use your fingers to shove your fabric under your presser foot. Done.

Method 2.
This works if you're going for more uniform, perfect ruffles.

1. Using a longer stitch, sew the piece that you want ruffled down the middle all the way until ALMOST the end. DO NOT BACK STITCH. And leave a long piece of thread at the beginning and end.
Should look like this when you're done. Crazy, I know.
 2. With your fabric right side up, start pulling on the BACK THREAD lightly. Use your other hand to gently pull the fabric back, creating ruffles. Push the fabric towards the middle on both sides until your fabric is ruffley enough. :)
 Finished product...

More to come on these ruffles ...
Stay tuned.
