Ruffle Pillow

This pillow is really easy, even for beginner sewers!

How To:

1. Cut fabric the size you want your pillow to be. Front and back the same size. (I doubled the burlap to make my pillow extra thick, so I had 2 pieces on the front and 2 on the back. HOWEVER, I would NOT recommend this- it was way to thick. Maybe do 2 on the front, 1 on the back if you still want it thicker.
2. Cut your ruffle fabric in long, thin pieces. I used super thin, cheap fabric.
 3. Sew the edges leaving 1/4 inch hem on both sides.
  4. Create your ruffles by sewing straight down the middle, gently pushing your fabric through the presser foot. If you need help with that, check out my post on how to ruffle here.
 5. Lay your ruffles on the TOP piece of your burlap and arrange how you want them.
 6. Sew ruffles to TOP piece of burlap, straight down the middle, following the same lines you used to create the ruffles. It's ok if it's not perfect.

7. Turn front piece over onto back piece of burlap so both sides are inside out.
 8. Sew 1/2 inch seam around the edges, leaving about 5-6 inches OPEN for stuffing the pillow (preferably on the bottom of the pillow). Be sure to back stitch the beginning and end. Sorry, apparently I didn't take a picture of this step!

9. Cut corners off of pillow and turn right side out.

10. Fill your pillow. I had an old pillow I needed to get rid of, so I took out the stuffing and used that. You can buy stuffing pretty much anywhere though.

11. Sew the hole shut.

For now it's on my bed. It may be moved to the guest room though... if they're lucky :)

(I made the other pillow a while back, if you like it, check out the how-to HERE)
