New Years Printable

It's almost 2013!  When the new year comes around, like most people, I stop and think, "How can I make this new year better than the one before it?", "How can I be happier and work harder and do more this year?" Well, for 2013 I am taking a whole new approach.  I'm throwing out my to-do lists, my expectations and my definition of failure.  Now, this is not to say that I am planning on dropping all of my bad habits such as:
1. Yelling is permitted, it's just talking with emphasis.
2. Anger is happiness and it always will be.
3. Words can hurt, so use them.
Some things will never change but I do believe that others may. I want to live more freely, recognizing daily that life is happy and full of joy if you know where to look. The words of Paul McCartney come to mind, "Let it be".  These words are simple and yet so powerful, especially during times when I start to feel my blood boil and my right eye twitch with impatience as I stare down at my four year old who is sitting amongst a pile of permanent markers using my new bed linens as her canvas.  I think to myself, "Let it be", those sheets are toast anyway, let her finish her masterpiece... and then when she is done, I will teach her a lesson... no, no, stop.  I will give her the sheets and say, "Okay Z, these are yours to sleep on from here on".  It is so easy to take each day for granted and I hope as the new year arrives I will remember 2012 and remember to let the little things slide, making more room in my life for the ever so precious big things like 10 toes and 10 fingers covered in permanent marker, each hug and each kiss received, faith that hard work never goes unnoticed and knowledge that compassion always feels better than resentment.
I have attached a New Years printable.
Remember to love life and everything messy in it.
