125 Summer Activities for Kids

LYB is moving to a [dot]com! Over the past several months, Ashley and I have been working on building a new site.  This June we will be launching the new site and can't wait to share with y'all some of the great projects we have been hoarding.  So stick with us this summer and we will get those summer projects checked off your to-do list!

I had to share with you some fun summer activities for the kids.  Several of these I wrote down in my personal planner so that I would be sure to do them with my little one this summer.

Whatever you choose to do this summer remember to take advantage of every moment you share with your kid or kids. Childhood is so magical and I love watching as my daughter consumes the world around her, exploring and imagining her own fairytale.  Take lots of pictures and save a few snapshots for your own memory book. Write down what you love about summer and what you love about your child, specific to the age they are at and please don't let the summer pass you by without a few memories stored up for winter.

Activities #1-#50 can be found over at Kids Activities Blog. My personal favorites from this summer bucket list are...
#1. Catch some bugs via Repeat After Me
#2 Watch a butterfly hatch

#9. Be an excavator via Healthy Mama Info.  Freeze toys in a giant block of ice and chip away!

Using old plastic containers this family drilled their collectables onto a wooden board. The flow of water was directed to fill large basins at the bottom of the waterfall. These kids look like they are having fun dumping water down this gizmo.
