Neiman Marcus $250 Cookies

If you missed our brief announcement in our previous post, Little Yellow Barn will soon be moving to a [dot]com.  A few of our readers have mentioned that some of our posts and links are out of sorts.  Please bare with us during this transition, neither Ashley nor I are very computer savvy and so we are trying to transfer over our posts as seamlessly as possible to the new site.  If you are having trouble with any of our links please contact us so we can fix it.  We will announce the official launch of our new site with a fabulous giveaway. Love you all for being so helpful and loyal, hopefully the new site will accomodate our ability to share our ideas with you more easily.

This Neiman Marcus $250 Cookie recipe is quite popular, and for good reason of course.  I think it tops pretty much every other chocolate chip cookie recipe I have ever tried.  When roaming the internet for this recipe I found a copy posted by Naomi over at Bakers Royale.  She dubbed this cookie recipe as her #1... above the Neiman Marcus cookie if you can believe it.  If you get to try it before I do let me know how it goes.  I have a hard time imagining a better cookie than Neiman's.  What is your favorite cookie recipe?  Maybe I'm in the dark and I don't even know it.

Neiman Marcus $250 Cookies

2 c butter
2 c brown sugar
2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c flour
3 cups oatmeal, ground in blender
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 giant Hershey's bar, grated
3 c chopped pecans

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl with an electric mixer cream together butter sugars, vanilla and eggs.  In a separate bowl combine flour, salt baking soda, baking powder and oatmeal.  Add flour mixture to butter/sugar mixture until combined.  Add chocolate chips, nuts and grated hershey's bar. Bake 6-10 minutes
THIS MAKES 200 cookies!
Do you need 200 cookies? Hmmm... maybe not but you'll have plenty to share!
